Deep beneath the pulse of the heart and our breath, lies our innermost rhythm:

The CranioSacral rhythm

As we leave the water based womb and come into stillness, our body must adjust to a static environment. This may involve skeletal manipulations as the body physically passes through the birth canal and/or fascial adhesions through the pressure of labor. Energetically, emotions carried as we are prenatal and into perinatal integrate into our psycho-somatic field becoming a precursor to how we relate to the body throughout life.

The moment we are born becomes our somatic template & from this moment our internal Craniosacral rhythm is established.

Craniosacral Therapy works with the connective tissue of the body to optimize cerebrospinal fluid movement from the base of the spine (sacrum) up to the occipital ridge (base of the skull). This network of fluid movement encompasses our entire Central Nervous System. Any changes to the structure of the body alters the potential for fluid motion and rhythm coherence. Myofascial techniques may address physical patterns within the body in order to alleviate any blockages.

CST is a bottom-up therapy that works with the fascial network to support & guide the release of restrictions that inhibit a full expression of our Craniosacral rhythm.

Throughout life we experience situations where the body compensates for changes in our environment. Whether it be an acute physical trauma or adapting to emotional currents, how we carry the body may shift. These fascial “holdings” alter the movement and rhythm of our craniosacral pulse. Through listening and light micro-adjustments the body can naturally return to a homeostatic state.
